Irish Times Amateur Photographer of the Year 2013 shortlist

So, last month I’ve entered the Irish Times Amateur Photographer of the Year 2013 (what a long name to type) competition for the first time and was shortlisted for it!┬áThere were some amazing images in the competition and I fully agree with the Picture of the Year choice.

Only one of the six images I’ve entered into Portrait and Monochrome section made it but it was a nice surprise since it was one of the black and white ┬ábodyscapes and also a shot of my good friend (from this series we made earlier).

All in all, it’s a happy resolution to a year of musing in the darkness of the studio and dragging various people in there. Hopefully now I can lure even more wonderful people to pose for me, as long as my camera club is nice enough to give me the studio and not ask any questions.

As always, I’m alarmingly open for any kind of collaborations with interesting people and can be easily convinced by a cup of good coffee, a good story or shared love for cello music!

P.S. On the subject of news, I’ve finally printed my business cards to match the design of this website, so if you meet me in real life you will definitely be forced to take one (and use it as a bookmark like I do sometimes).
